  How it Works

MRI maintains a secure FTP Server to which recordings are uploaded and finished transcriptions are downloaded.

Start the process by dictating a recording using a digital handheld recorder or an iPhone®. Next, upload the recordings via Internet browser or in the case of an iPhone®, just press a button.

That evening our staff retrieves the recordings, transcribes, reviews,and returns them to the FTP Server.

The next morning log back on to the FTP server and download the finished transcriptions. Transcription are then ready to view, edit, print and store them on your PC or server. The transcriptions can even be import into your EMR system.

All files are returned in a MS Word .DOC file format or in a predetermined file format and naming convention.

MRI was founded in June, 2000 with 3 part-time transcriptionists. Since then we have expanded to 12 full-time transcriptionists.

Our objective is to return all transcriptions by the next business morning with the highest degree of accuracy possible. We are proud of the fact that we have maintained this level of performance since our inception.
